MOVING PARTS THEATRE PRESENTS PAGAN PLAY AT THE HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL JUNE 17-27, 2010
San Diego Theatre Company Premieres New Work Written, Designed, Directed, Performed, Produced In Complete Collaboration By An Ensemble Of Eleven

June 2, 2010

San Diego, CA – Moving Parts Theatre is presenting Pagan Play, a world premiere work, at the 1st Annual Hollywood Fringe Festival. Pagan Play will have nine full showings over the Fringe weekends in the heart of Hollywood’s Theatre Row.

Pagan Play is a moment in time – a glimpse into a present-day forest in which a Faun searches for home, a Coven of Witches goes grocery shopping, a young Queen crushes on a Scarred Knight, and a Centaur tries to bond with his Apprentice. Meanwhile, the princess Allerleirauh is running away from home, a Ghoul hangs around the graveyard, and a Family of Tourists takes pictures of peasants. Through these charmingly peculiar characters, Pagan Play shows the many ways we deal with loss and the many ways we attempt to answer the question: “What do we do now?”

Moving Parts Theatre, founded in January 2010 by a group of young San Diegans, is a production ensemble that works in complete collaboration. Pagan Play is Moving Parts Theatre’s first work as a company. The script is composed of original and found text. Pagan Play is 80 minutes long with no intermission.
