What’s your idea of heaven? Is it possible for it to be a disappointment? Do you “really” want to know what your past lives were? In Existential Crises, Chicago actors Mike Cherry and Matt Peterson (Second City, I.O. trained, respectively) delve into the deep, shallow and shallower questions of human existence. The duo has been described as “Laurel and Hardy meet Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. While this may be “true”, the two remain anchored in reality and committed to psychiatric diplomacy. The show is scripted sketch comedy but it allows for improvisation throughout. “Existential Crises” is not misspelled….it’s plural.
