June 1, 2010 – Bill O’Reilly calls him a sexual extremist, and Dennis Miller wants to punch him in the nose. Solo Performer and two-time Best In Fringe Festival winner at the New York International Fringe Festival, Antonio Sacre performs at the inaugural Hollywood Fringe with “My Penis – in and out of Trouble,” a 60 minute solo performance piece directed by Paul Stein.
“My Penis” explores sex and sexuality in humorous and unexpected ways. Controversial and explosive, it has sold out at all Fringe festivals where presented and garnered rave critical response. “A personal quiet reflection of a young man and his manhood…storytellers this good are hard to come by,” –Backstage NY. “Remarkable….[Sacre is] a serious artist,” –Village Voice. “Gripping and unsettling,” –The Chicago Reader.
Surprising in his manner, Sacre is self-effacing, with his humor coming from his bedrock honesty about situations each person has faced. Join him on a journey that is raw in his willingness to revisit each painful and wonderful moment. “He is not a character actor nor a comedian but someone with a perpetual story and an extraordinary talent for engaging an audience. Therefore, he is frankly funny, uncompromisingly believable, and above all – kind.” –Backstage
An internationally touring award winning solo performance artist based in Los Angeles, Sacre has created seven solo performance pieces, performing them to critical and popular acclaim at PS 122, and PS NBC in New York City; the San Francisco Fringe Theater Festival; the HBO and Comedy Central Workspaces in Los Angeles; the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago; the Kennedy Center; and various festivals internationally.
Backstage says Sacre is “powerful, hilariously honest . . . the man is an out and out genius.” His shows have garnered numerous Critics’ Choices in San Francisco, LA, New York, and Chicago.
Come and be molested.
