Alex is a clinically depressed romantic whose girlfriend left him last night. Frankie, his roommate, takes him out for drinks to take his mind off it, and in a way it works. When their waitress comes by to take their orders, Alex develops an infatuation for her—an infatuation orchestrated by the specter of Alex’s depression.
