Memories play and stray in this new solo show. Backstage at a drag show, Auntie, an old diva, teaches a newbie her fabulous lineage, from ancient times to current affairs, a resilient race of glitter, tucking and throat throttling reality. Auntie’s endowment: a birthright. Her stories: hysterical.

Inspired by her 'Tranny Godmother' Madonna, Trinity goes to battle with the ‘Self Rejection Virus’ in order to reclaim her authentic, female self. In the process, she risks losing her secret lover –codenamed ‘James Franco,' and her career as a Hollywood actor is propelled into jeopardy.

These three original pieces were written, directed and performed by the recent graduates of the Art of Acting Studio Conservatory. Developed during the 2017 Professional Conservatory Class solo show project, each is an artistic exploration of the life of a notable personality throughout history.

Character Breakdown is a hilariously raw solo show based on the masks we wear as African American women to make it through this life. Maya Lynne incorporates spoken word, song and dance, as she explores how society, career and love put us in boxes and teach us to forget who we really are.
