What I liked

The concept is brilliant! It hits home for what many Blacks in America have thought or entertained… Leaving a country that doesn’t really love them. Outer space may be a bit much (or far fetched), but that’s the point. Do we possibly have to leave this world, in order to have peace of mind — to live without the fear of having a target on your back because of the color of your skin. This is a great piece of Artivism!

What I didn't like

I enjoyed the show. However, I am looking forward to this piece being worked on, and flushed out. I know that this 40 minute performance has room to grow and much to offer. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this piece, and for Aaron. I’ll be keeping an eye out, and I will be there to support and see what’s next.

My overall impression

Taking our beloved sci-fi tv shows/movies and marrying it to our favorite family sitcom was an awesome idea. In both of these genres there would be those “episodes” that addressed very serious topics, that were a bit outside of the box for that tv show… but we loved it, the media loved it, and the culture loved it. That is what Blacks in Space did very well. Bravo!
