I really liked the writing, and Bill Chott’s performance as Hitch was A+! Great set design.
What I didn't like
More “bits” by Mel in his unending quest to entertain. His exit was fantastic, but I wanted that from Mel the whole show. I also there’s room to play with the dichotomy: the meticulous perfectionist and the anything-for-a-laugh clown are practically a real life Pinky and the Brain.
My overall impression
Exciting concept with great execution – Mel Brooks meets with Alfred Hitchcock to pitch and develop what would ultimately become the movie High Anxiety.
