My overall impression
The play opens on a tranquil New York summer night. A man emerges onto a rooftop, Belvedere vodka and a glass tumbler in hand. Mid-conversation on his phone, he’s celebrating a high-powered deal – a coveted 35th-floor apartment. His world appears perfect. Yet, a sliver of doubt cracks the facade as his phone abruptly dies, cutting the call short.
Enter a second man, his path leading him to the same rooftop with a contrasting goal. Their worlds collide, and over the next 45 minutes, we witness an intense exploration of life’s purpose and meaning. These strangers, initially focused on their own agendas, become unlikely guides for each other. Through quick-witted dialogue, the performers lay bare their souls, reminding us of our shared humanity and the importance of finding meaning in life.
