What I liked

You know that thing where if you have a glass bottle of beer and your friend bops the top of it with their hand and then it foams all up and spills over and sprays everywhere and you have to chug it, and clean up the mess and even then it’s still a little foamy and takes a while to settle back down? That’s how it feels to watch Mark in this show.

What I didn't like

I would love more interaction with the answers people put into the bucket – but the would be hard to find since its so packed with so much other great stuff.

My overall impression

“The Best Man Show” was hilarious, delightful, and relevant. He had us all enraptured in laugher throughout the show. Mark is a great performer and an excellent improviser. the interactions with the audiences members become entirely part of the whole experience. It’s also an exploration of love, for self and others. It’s not the deepest show in the world, but for how funny it is, there was lots of good meat. It’s clear he’s making fun of himself with the content, but the character righteous indignation is relatable frustrating and hilarious, and that helps us all to laugh at the parts of ourselves that can be a little like “Paul”. Topical, poignant, and engaging. Mark draws you in, and keeps you there all the way to the biter end. Relatable for people who f*ck up and people who know people who f*ck up. The kind of show that you could easily enjoy seeing again because depending on who is there and how they choose to react to the experience, it could be a wildly different time.
