Again, I thought it was very funny - not only the material, but Deboo’s characterizations and performance at large … I also felt it was sincerely a heart-warming and, at times, heartbreaking honest tale of his experiences and life … All together it was a truly excellent piece, done exceptionally well!
What I didn't like
Honestly, the only thing I felt was a bit extraneous was the Madonna moment. I didn’t see it had a purpose and, if anything, it eclipsed the Olivia Newton moment that preceded it … Other than that, I thought it was very well paced, well organized as a narrative, engaging sets and set-up, very good direction, excellent material and a great acting job … Five Stars!!
My overall impression
For starters, I was taken aback by how authentically funny some of the material was, including Deboo’s impressions and character depictions, and I found myself laughing outloud … Further, it was a surprisingly moving play, with a very inspiring message and a warm, honest look at this impressive actor’s personal life!
