My overall impression
Lemon Boots is a breath of fresh air. It’s a fantastic show with beautiful symbolism and images. I loved the simplicity of the story and how no plot was strongly being pushed in this production of the show. It was lovely seeing how they (the ensemble of artists) had to be inventive with their set and technical side.
The only major pieces of criticism that I had are very small and sometimes out of their control. I wanted more from the production value, as in the lights and design of the set. Again, that is out of their control. Its fringe. The show isn’t perfect: that’s the beauty of the show. My last piece of criticism is the polishing of a few moments here and there. There were some beautiful sharp and clean moments but some just needed more polishing and clarity.
Overall, I enjoyed the show. I was so happy with the performances and the beautiful stories being told. They were very personal to me.
