My overall impression

Rarely have I seen a modern dance production with so much fervor and passion. the chemistry between the two lead dancers brought me to tears…I would love to see another production of this piece in another venue…the ensemble needs a bit more room to fully expand their concepts…the choreography was very interesting….almost a melange of different styles but always coming back to the modern base…there was even a bit of humor in some scenarios like the ‘he said…she said’..sequence…the fights were well structured and full of anger and the props were used to advantage…the start and finish of the dance tale was like a flash back of the lovers’ death at the beginning which repeated at the end with finality and ultimate sadness…
I would have to point out that every dancer in the ensemble threw themselves into their part intensely….thanks again to this cast…
my only complaint would be the costuming…personally I like costuming that brings up images of the historical background of the story…in a more strict sense, not quite so abstract…but that is my preference, not always the vision of the producers…
