A great concept and something which will develop into a strong piece which treads the exciting line between humour and pathos. ... full review

I'd rate this "D", for "Downer"---a first for Fales, who usually mines his own bio as Mormon Gay Gadfly for the pleasure of his small but fervent following, me included. Who would have guessed that the best part of THIS show would be the half-hour standing OUTside while Fales works the all-male line with all the aplomb of Debbie Reynolds? Once INside, it's clear that he's come back to town without a show---some unfamiliar songs passionately sung but not much coherence and less entertainment. At the end there's a harrowing character monologue that shows off his acting skill while punishing his audience---then he's out the door without "even unzipping one zipper" (like Gypsy Rose Lee playing Ms Dignity), mocking his fans for expecting more! ... full review

My general impression of the show is that it shows amazing promise and potential. After two decades in theater catering to a largely gay following, Steven Fales has tapped into the next big thing: stories about our culture from his view - and he takes us in. It no longer matters if one is gay or straight, and Fales wisely gets past those trappings to explore the question, "what's next?" In doing so he creates a powerful argument that we are all caught up in the same lures that seduce today's Twitter culture for the sake of self-importance - or belonging. While the Fringe production only clocks in for an hour, it is only a taste of what can be done with a fully fleshed out production.... full review

Steven Fales has always brought his heart into each of his solo shows. You not only join him on his journey, he also exposes his inner self. He touched on many cults that are known and some, which after further study on this reviewers part, are even scarier cults like 12 step programs. Steven enlightens you, sings to you and engages with the audience to make this appear to be an intimate meeting. You become part of the show without knowing it! Well done!... full review

This seemed like strictly a workshop performance. From the other reviews, sounds like there were performances where he did go into much detail into his life, cults and cult mentality. I'm hoping to catch another performance when the show comes together! ... full review
