In the first piece I really enjoyed the 1946 time period and the comedy story song where we got to learn how the villian got his nickname, “The Butter Knife.”
In the second piece, I was captivated in particular by the vulnerable and intimate moments the “Hollywood Forever” piece. The characters were so real, the music beautiful and somehow they managed moments both poignant and funny. That’s hard to do!
In the third piece, “There’s an App for That.” I was utterly charmed! By the music, the story, the relationships, the story line. I couldn’t help but laugh and cheer on the characters.
What I didn't like
Just wish it was all a little longer!
My overall impression
Funny moments with plenty of charm, fun music and characters alive and vulnerable. A good evening of theatre!
