What I liked

First and foremost, the play was extremely well written and performed. Using Waiting for Godot as it’s basic framework, it really nailed the essence of the source material while relying more on relatable humor than the oblique banality of the original.

That said, when I hear of a “mashup” of two separate cultural items, I usually treat it with suspicion. In this case, U2 and Beckett are weaved together impressively (maybe perhaps because all references involved are Irish???) in a way that is different than most art that fuses disparate things together, relying more on calculated nuance than irony.

What I didn't like

I’m not particularly a fan of U2 or Domino’s Pizza.

My overall impression

I prefer Richard’s Bono to the real Bono. Go see it!
