What I liked

Yesterday went to another great Premiere ! The Fabulous Fables of Aesop , showing in The Hollywood Fringe Festival at The Complex Theater, Hollywood… Created by Keith Galloway and Directed by Jo Galloway and Darren Portilla
a ShoWorks Entertainment production…All I knew about this play was some guy named Aesop wrote some fables… Didn’t know if he actually existed or was a fictitious character…well, I did some research and in fact he existed 620-564 BCE and he was
greek… He was a slave and then later on freed cause of his clever storytelling, he became advisor for the wealthy and the royalty of his time… My favorite Aesop quote… No act of kindness,no matter how small,is ever wasted…Back to the play… Here the genius of Mr. Galloway came very strong ! On how he
combined the current times with the fables.. Going back and forth from a group of theater performers ( Jo Galloway , Christopher Worley,Emmanuelle Girard and Arturo Lopez ) and their idiosyncrasies to the fables where there’s a wolf , a lion,a rooster, mices ,a fox,
crowes,a grasshopper and many more…There are many very important life lessons in the fables like self love, not letting ego take over, being true to oneself, the importance of being a team player, etc… The cast were… Fabulous !!’ Funny acting and great singing and dancing !To me this is what entertainment should be … To make you forget the daily stress related issues for that hour during the show … to entertain you !!! It certainly did it to me ! Specially this particular play cause brings that inner child we all have where our hearts open the most and our intuition become the sharpest…that state of innocence… All the World’s a Stage … and this play remind us to be playful and not so uptight in life… This is a show for kids to learn very important lessons in life and for adults to remind us of this valuable lessons… I know I will see this play again before they are done at The Complex… It will run through the month of June in The Hollywood Fringe Festival at The Complex Theater, Hollywood… For tickets and info go to www.showorksentertainment.com ps. There’s also another great play from ShoWorks Entertainment called Infantryman In The Wardrobe showing at the festival…check it out !!!
