I loved the attention to small physical detail. Coordinated breath, ballet-level precision in body movements, and seamless transition. The choice of music elevated the story and added a touch of personal flair. This story is heartbreaking and the cast succeeded in making me love their characters and then subsequently hate that this situation ever happened.
What I didn't like
In the beginning I was having some trouble following what was happening, however after a few minutes I realized the significance of the opening and how it was necessary for exposition
My overall impression
This show was wonderfully entertaining. The story was clear and beautiful, due mainly to the strength in the material being based on a true story. Director Ben managed to transport his audience to another time and place with the aid of a long rope and a record player. Everything I would expect to see at the Fringe.
