I enjoyed the honest and unique perspective the show offered. It brought front and center how transitioning is a lifetime experience, not a singular moment. The show’s humanity made a deep connection for me.
What I didn't like
A mirror that didn’t end up being used all that much was brought on stage and created a reflection on the walls. And I don’t know how I feel about the ending quite yet.
My overall impression
Transmission is a heartfelt individual history. I felt very connected to everything, despite never having questioned my own gender identity. The story was simple, painful at times, but eventually hopeful and joyous. I felt a lot of love throughout.
