What I liked
The script shows great understanding of the human condition and its infinite variety. The acting is incredibly nuanced with touching detail, such as the shaking fingers of a survivor during her trauma-stricken grief. And the story becomes even more consuming by having one particular actor play the two most extreme contrasting characters. So incomprehensibly sad and this inspired casting makes the eloquent ending all the more touching. Everything from script to acting is pitch perfect!
What I didn't like
There is absolutely nothing lacking in this magnificent production.
My overall impression
Rogue Machine again hits the high mark! This play is serious stuff and yet it humanizes and personalizes a very difficult subject and a traumatic tragedy. The script is articulate and eloquent, the direction is spot-on, and acting has both range and depth. Most actors play two roles and the contrast between characters is so phenomenal that you think you are seeing two different actors. This play is story-telling at its best that is poignant and heart-wrenching. Bring a tissue box as it is all-consuming as a five-hanky experience. And it is well worth the experience for everyone to see.
