BLACK WOMEN DATING WHITE MEN
At the Hollywood Fringe online

Playwright: Somebody Jones
Director: Khadifa Wong

After a sold-out workshop at the Drayton Arms Theatre in London, BLACK WOMEN DATING WHITE MEN returns as a full Zoom production as a part of Hollywood Fringe’s Virtual Festival.

When Somebody Jones began dating a white man (something she never dreamed of doing) she found herself in uncharted territory. In an effort to find her new community, she sought out other Black/mixed women in her position. What started as a simple assignment turned into something bigger (and funnier) than she imagined.

BLACK WOMEN DATING WHITE MEN is Zoom support group featuring a collection of interviews of (you guessed it) Black women who are in long-term relationships with white men. Expect talks about privilege, activism, and the mystery of headscarves.
A completely Black/mixed female production combining verbatim, ensemble, and humor to tell a story that celebrates love in all its form
