Mary Anna King

Mary Anna King lives in Los Angeles. Her writing has appeared in the Toast, Dame Magazine, Quaint Magazine, and Lost Daughters. Her debut memoir Bastards was described in the NY Times Book Review as “fearlessly [untangling] the complicated story of a family plagued by abundant loss who nevertheless redefine what it means to love and forgive.” Her writing has been described as “gregarious, soul-baring” (Elle Magazine), “sheer gorgeousness” (Boston Globe), and has been compared to Mary Karr’s Liar’s Club. She has been interviewed by NPR, Minneapolis Public Radio, WGN radio, and maintains an active life on Twitter (@maryannaking).
