Teresa Thome
As a Performer
Teresa was a founding member of Last Minute Improv performing in venues throughout Michigan for more than a decade. She has presented “Warm Cheese” in various venues and twice for the national comedy festival, LaughFest. She has competed and won in Moth-style storytelling events and most recently appeared as a storyteller for “Chew On This” a storytelling podcast. Michigan acting credits include Sheila in “The Boys Next Door”, Sandy Stier in “8, The Play”, Lisa in “Well”, Trish in “Reckless” and her most notable role as “Blow Up Doll” to Martin Short’s Ed Grimley. This is her first appearance with Fringe and first performance of “Warm Cheese” in Los Angeles.
As a Writer/Producer
Teresa is co-founder and Managing Partner of Michigan-based Fubble Entertainment. She received an Emmy for her co-written/co-produced web series, Backstage Drama. She was Executive Producer, co-writer and co-host of the television special, Holiday Memories of Grand Rapids. In 2014 she was Executive Producer of an animated pilot with the late great Joan Rivers. She co-produced/co-wrote a staged reading of a sitcom I’ve Got A Life In Kalamazoo with Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Moore Show/Up) and Marion Ross (Happy Days). Teresa also served as co-creative producer for LaughFest’s signature event working with such notables as Betty White, Martin Short, Alan Zweibel, Kevin Nealon and Wayne Brady.
Prior to Fubble, Thome was President of Enthusiastic Productions where she served as Executive Producer of the children’s television show, Come On Over! receiving a regional Emmy and national daytime Emmy nomination. Her story, “Mogen David” was published in an anthology of short stories and personal essays. And before she gave up her steady day job to pursue the creative life she always hoped to live, she served as Executive Director of the award-winning Grand Rapids Children’s Museum.
